You just got engaged and you're excited to make the wedding preparations. You
ask help from your mom and she's more than happy to help you. You've set the perfect date but, you're still not sure about the venue. You know for a fact that you and your fiance both love the beach and you've talked about a thousand times of having the perfect beach wedding. But then again, a beach wedding sounds too complicated for you. Lighten up! Beach weddings is in fact one of the simplest weddings to prepare. There's nothing much to consider, you just have to keep it simple. All it takes is the bride and groom, family and friends, and the beautiful sun's heat to keep it breezy and fun. Imagine getting married barefooted under the sun's heat. You'd have a delicious food and overflowing drinks to your guest's delight. You won't have to worry about choosing from so many colors, you can keep it simple yet beautiful by choosing a white motif. Above all, it would be great to make everybody enjoy on the reception. After all, a wedding is not just for the bride and groom's happiness, it's for all the ones who love them as well. What better way for your family and friends to enjoy than bask under the sun or even swim on the cool waters? Though that may be the case, your wedding dress is another thing. Most brides-to-be having a beach wedding fall a victim of compromising their wedding gown. Some would fail to consider the fact that though it may be simple, it still is a memorable occasion. Thus, you need to make sure you look your best! Wearing a bikini on your wedding day is definitely a no-no. Imagine the look on people's faces when you say "I do". Instead of looking at your happy faces, they'd be frowning at your skimpy outfit. Also, never go for the overly-designed Hawaiian dress. Though it gives you the beach vibe, it definitely doesn't make you a beautiful bride! Keep these types of dresses on your summer getaways, not on your wedding day! So, how do you know it's the right one to wear? It's simple. You should still wear a wedding dress, but, you can opt for a more creative or simpler design. For example, you can have a shorter wedding dress cut above your knees, especially if you're planning to get married with your feet on the water. If you plan to be barefoot in the sand, you still can wear a long yet simple wedding dress, or to be more creative, you can choose a simple mermaid-style type of dress. By choosing this, you'll not only be a beautiful bride, you'll compliment the beach vibe as well! In choosing the perfect wedding dress, just keep in mind that you have to consider your body figure and your personal style. Your body type says a lot about what fits you, and your personal style says a lot about what suits you. Always remember, may the wedding be simple or extravagant, the bride should nevertheless be breathtakingly beautiful, and it takes the perfect wedding dress to achieve that! Whether it be wedding table settings, black tie or prom, how to dress a table
is an important detail to get right and it needn't cost you the earth! I've been to and seen some fabulous ideas and will share some of these with you so that you can mix and match and play with to hopefully come up with something totally unique for you! Bridal Table Dressing The Spring & Summer Table This can depend upon the type of bridal occasion you are having. If you are having a wedding breakfast it can be a lovely to see large centre piece vases full to the brim with bright, fresh fruit and sprigs of Himalayan birch that have been wrapped with a Swarvoski crystal vine varying between diamontes to hints of the wedding colour theme. Fresh flower arrangements filled with seasonal flowers and intermingled with twisted willow and Swarvoski crystal vines can look breathtaking, not to mention the scent that these give. I've also known brides have large fish bowls filled with gold fish, however depending upon the guests depends upon the suitability of this type of table decoration! A spring or summer table scattered with rose petals shouts out romance and for place names why not consider buying simple glass coasters and writing in glass paint each person's name. It may be time consuming but these will also serve as a keepsake of your special day. Why not commission some crocheted lavender stuffed hearts with your guest's embroidered initials; another keepsake. Simple place names that are scented with an essential oil of your choice can serve two purposes, they are inexpensive to create and yet depending on the oil used can either evoke romance, invigorate or calm your guests; you could even have different scents for different tables! Lavender for those party animals that may need taming, neroli oil for the singles table, the options are limitless and you can have fun with it. How about hand gathered stones or shells that have been washed and then paint each guests' name on, varnish if you like for a memory they can keep forever. The Autumn Table Depending upon the colour theme of your occasion, generally this time of year is warm and glowing. There are so many options with this season and some of them are autumn leaves, especially acer or maple due to the vibrancy of their colours. A large vase loosely filled with these bright leaves and battery operated fairy lights can look beautiful especially as darkness draws in. I've been to a wedding where each table had a turkish style lantern lit to give a smouldering romantic glow to the occasion and slices of wood had been cut for each guest and their names burned into them, these proved lovely items to keep. What about hand crafted chocolate boards with the guests name inscribed, an edible fancy to keep hungry guests at bay! The Winter Table You may feel this would be a stereotypical type of table dressing with everything being so seasonal, but why not try something a little different. There are some fantastic feather butterflies in all the colours you can think of why not have these mingled in with cornus sanguinea Midwinter Fire or (Dogwood). These shrubs have fantastic bright red stems in the winter and if these are entwined with Swarvoskis, fresh water pearls and some fairy lights you have centre pieces everyone would remember. What about handbaked ginger biscuit place names with either the guest's name inscribed in icing or put a hole at the top and have a raffia and wooden plaque with the name written or painted on. Another edible goody for your guests to smile about! I've also seen tea-light holders made from gingerbread so that the scent of ginger wisps around the tables, have a little fun seeing which table can hold off eating their holder the longest! These are just a few ideas that you can mingle with your own to create that unique bit of magic for your table decorations. Of course, your table settings may well be dictated to by the time of year i.e. autumnal colours, winter freshness or deep reds, blues or greens but whatever you choose, be creative and most of all have fun!
